Ladies Section

Management Committee
Five Ladies are required to serve on the Management Committee of the Bowls club.
Club Bowling
All standards of bowling are catered for within the ladies section:
Casual:
Practice/roll ups are permitted ay any time providing that rinks are available. Non-members can come and try the game for a maximum of four sessions per season at a cost of £3 per session, and must be accompanied by a Club Member.
Ladies are welcome to play in the Wednesday afternoon roll-up.
Friendly Games:
There is a full fixture card of good class friendly games against other clubs on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons throughout the season.
Club Competitions:
The Ladies have the following competitions – 4 Wood Singles, 2 Wood Singles and 4 Wood Pairs. The finals are played on a date published before entry into the competition.
The Management Committee run the Mixed Triples, Eric Marlow 4’s, Drawn Pairs, Over 60’s Open Singles and Over 60’s Drawn Pairs. These again culminate on finals day.
Affiliations
The Ladies section is affiliated to Bowls England, Warwickshire Women’s Bowling Association and the Birmingham District Women’s Bowling Association. All competitive bowling takes place in accordance with the rules of these Associations.
The above bodies also have tours (except the BDWBA), AGM’s and presentation lunches.

The BDWBA play friendly fixtures. Members are invited to nominate themselves if they wish to play in any of these games.
The BDWBA also run the following competitions, played by set dates, throughout the season:
2 Wood Singles
Pairs
Fours
4 Wood Singles
Triples
2 Wood Triples
These are entered at the beginning of the season.
The club is also invited to enter a rink to play for the M&T Trophy. The competition is held annually.
The club also enter the BDWBA League which is played on Tuesday evenings.
Ivy League
League games are played on Monday afternoons and consist of one rink. Bournville enter one team and Ladies must be over 50 years of age to be eligible to play.
