Sections
Bournville Bowls Club is made up of two sections - the Ladies Section and the Men's Section.
The President
A President (non-executive) is elected at the AGM. Rotation of President is between the two sections, Ladies and Men’s. The position is held for two years effective from the AGM.
Management Committee
The Management Committee is the over-ruling body of the Bowls Club and is made up from five representatives from each of the two sections, plus the Greens Chairperson (non-voting). From these a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer are elected, and the remaining members have responsibilities as per the Constitution. The Safeguarding Officers can be co-opted onto the Management Committee but have no voting rights.
Annual General Meeting
The Bowls Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held on the first Sunday in November each year. The Bowls Club Constitution can only be amended at the AGM or at a Special General Meeting called for this purpose.
Club Matches / Club Competitions
Club matches – see Ladies and Men’s sections
Club Competitions:
The two sections have their own club competitions which the Competition Secretary looks after. There are five competitions open to all Bowls members to enter. These are Mixed Triples, Eric Marlow Fours, Drawn Pairs, Over 60’s Pairs and Over 60’s Singles.
Coaching
Should you require any coaching, then please contact one of the club coaches for further information.
Social
Several events are held throughout the year, including the Annual Luncheon and Presentation of Trophies, Bowls Tours and Quiz Nights
Fees
Annual membership fees are agreed at the AGM. Please contact the Secretary or Treasurer for details.
